Job Description

Our Client is one of the top-notch busiest private hospitals in Jeddah, KSA seeking an NICU Specialist / Senior to performs assessment and management of patients in an evidence based approach, according to standards of care, and in compliance with the institution bylaws and policies and procedures.

Duties:

  • Assesses assigned patients and develops plan of care as per given clinical privileges, based on evidence based approach and standards of care and as per feedback of attending/ consultant physicians.
  • Documents assessment and plan of care as per the institution policies and medical staff bylaws.
  • For inpatients, develops discharge plan on day of admission and involves discharge planning service as early as possible if warranted.
  • Ensures that patients’ plan of care is implemented.
  • Performs clinical duties and procedures as per his/her granted clinical privileges, and documents this as per the institution policies.
  • Conducts education to patients and their families and engages them in the plan of care. Document given education in patients’ medical record.
  • Attends to hospital duties and responds to calls from hospital as per departmental /section call schedule
  • Attends departmental and general staff meetings and contributes ideas for improving efficiency, productivity and patient satisfaction.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices and represents the institution in a positive and professional manner in the community

 Working Condition

  • Working Hours: 45 Hours / Week
  • Working Days: 5 Days / Week
  • Shifts: Rotating Shifts (Morning, After Noon, Evening and Night Shifts)
  • Contract Period 1 Year Renewable
  • Probation Period 3 Months
  • On Call Duties: Divided per the number of specialists
  • Notice Period For Contract Termination: 60 Days

 

Minimum Qualifications Requirements listed below.

  1. Graduate of Medical School, recognized by the Medical Council of the country of origin.
  2. Completion of appropriate Structured Training (Residency and Fellowship) in Pediatrics / Neonatology  program(s) from the countries / qualifications listed in the option 1, option 2 or SCHS Licensed as Stated in the Option 3
  3. (Senior Specialist Level) 0 – 3 years of Independent Experience Post Training from countries listed in option 1
  4. (Senior Specialist Level) 0 – 5 years of independent Experience Post Training from countries listed in option 2
  5. (Specialist Level) Minimum of 2 years of independent Experience Post Training from countries listed in option 3

Option 1:

  • Australia: Fellowship of Royal Australian College of Physicians
  • Ireland: Certificate of Satisfactory Completion Specialist Training (CSCST)
  • France: DES or DESC or DIS
  • Saudi: Saudi Specialization Issued from Saudi Council of medical Specialties.
  • Canada: Specialization Certificate from Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
  • United Kingdom: Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) Or Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT).
  • United States: American Board Certification Recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties

 

Option 2:

  • France: DIS
  • Argentina: Specialization Certificate issued bythe Ministerio de Desarrollo Social y Salud.
  • Jordan: Jordanian Board
  • Spain: Título de Especialista (Professional qualification of a Specialist) Issued by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Culture
  • Germany: fachärztliche Anerkennung/urkunde
  • Italy: Diploma of specialized doctor granted by a rector of an Italian university
